When a machine, equipment or service aid emits too much noise at a workstation and it is not possible to reduce this noise at the source, the best solution is usually to “enclose” this noise in an acoustic enclosure. We speak of boxes for the general case and of box when the box is very close to the machine.
When a machine, equipment or service aid emits too much noise at a workstation and it is not possible to reduce this noise at the source, the best solution is usually to “enclose” this noise in an acoustic enclosure. We speak of boxes for the general case and of box when the box is very close to the machine. These constructions effectively reduce airborne noise, i.e. noise transmitted through the air, especially at medium and high frequencies. They are a sustainable investment, which is combined with the investment made in production equipment.
The confinement of a space surrounding the machine also makes it possible to deal with heat emissions, steam and gas emissions, as well as dust generation at the source. The joint treatment of all these problems is a source of savings in terms of investment and operating costs.
